I've went by the instructions
Jack up
Open bypass
Move steering arms
Close bypass
Move steering arms
Where does the air go?
Nothing comes out the bypass like a bleeder valve

When i'm done my resevoir seems like it has more fluid than when i started
It sounds as though i still have air in the system

Any air in a hydraulic system will end up in the reservoir.... :smile:KennyV

Nothing is supposed to come out of the bypass. The bypass is simply a valve that allows you to push/move the machine without the engine running. It would be very hard to push the machine with the bypass closed. When you purge the air out of the system, the air simply goes into the resvoire. Best and quickest way to do this is to jack the drive wheels off the ground, top off the oil, wick up the engine, and engage the drive. When both wheels are spinning, the oil is circulating (along with any air) and the air will be purged.

If you have done the purge and you still have air... It has to be 'new' air getting into the pump, any air that is after the pump will be pushed through the system and then into the reservoir... :smile:KennyV
