Just got a new house with some acreage and inherited a 2007 dixie chopper. Lost hydro power today and could not move forward or back. Diagnosed the belt is worn and has come off the pulley underneath the engine that runs to the hydro pump. It is a small belt about 20 inches maybe. The drive belt pulley is right below that and that one runs to the deck. I couldn't figure out how to loosen either the hydro pulley or the drive pulley to replace the belt. Any help? Thanks!!!

Lower the deck, remove the left side cover and remove the spring
Use a piece of bent wire or loosen the adjuster bolt till you can do it by hand but measure or take a photo first.
Remove the deck belt from the engine pulley.

Unplug the wires that go to the clutch.
Look at the anchor for the clutch. Some will loosen & swing out of the way while others will need to be unbolted.
Some times it is easier to remove the clutch rather than the anchor

The drive belt has a tensioner.
some arms have a square hole for a breaker bar to lever against the spring, some don't and you have to remove the spring or use a lever to take the tension off the arm & slip the belt off.
Get the bum of the mower as high as you can which will make things easier .
some times removing the wheels gives easier access as well.
Make sue you put good stands under it because if it drops while you are under there you days of being above the grass are over.
