Is it just me or has everything become smaller ? Maybe my eyes got older all of a sudden ????  In the top bar, notifications used to be in the far right top corner and I now have much more space to the right. All the fonts also seem to be smaller. (unless I change the sizes in my posts)

The only difference I have noticed is that the grass at the top of the display has grown. It is now as high as the lawn mower. Wonder if that little red tractor will make it to the right side of the display before clogging up?

It's just you....nothing's changed here.......did you accidentally change a setting somewhere? This site looks to me like it always has....(well, except for the big banner ad at the top.....)

Nope, I didn't change any of my settings and windows has not done any updates. The "notifications" used to be at the far right under the Forum banner and now is just above the right side of the ad banner. I can live with it, but something has changed here ! ???

Maybe you're right, but to me anyhow, the changes (if any) are inconsequential enough for me not to notice..

I think IE will allow you to do this ... FireFox will... Hold control and press the + key, untill everything sizes to your liking... It should then hold that setting, if you go too big do control -...

I have not changed anything and my FireFox display looks normal... :smile:KennyV

I could do that, but then every other site I visit is too big.
Something has changed just on LMF for my computer - every other site is like it always has been. ????????????:confused2:

Actually with FireFox only the pages you Ctrl + will stay at whatever setting that you leave it at...
I figured IE would do the same... :smile:KennyV

BK - you are exactly right!

When I was (stupidly) surfing as administrator on my computer, the site had never changed, even through several IE updates.

But, today, I created a user account, and had to re-do everything in IE for that account - and LMF IS tiny! Your larger fonts were annoyingly huge in my other account's view, but they are just about right now. Strange - it's the same IE with the same settings. Everything is just itty-bitty.

Although, I've noticed FB and ebay are tiny, too....110% zoom is about right.....125% is too big, so I used a custom percentage.

I just went to Windows update to do some hefty downloads....and was admin......I noticed my zoom was at 115%. I never touched the zoom on that account....so something set the zoom at 115% (which is a custom setting, not something 'out of the box') long ago.......check your zoom on IE.....should be 115% for LMF. The zoom is right above your clock in the extreme RH lower corner (I'm sure you knew that.....).

Glad it wasn't just me going NUTZ !
Yep, 115 is about right (as long as it doesn't make other sites too big)!

Stupid question -- I did switch to IE9 and now the menu bar and command bar are on two seperate lines (rows) when there is plenty of room for them both to fit on one line --- I can't get them to move to one line :frown: !

I think the fact that LMF is 90% text made the smaller zoom more noticeable. 15% I've found, doesn't do much, except to LMF....you don't notice it elsewhere.....

I don't understand what your question about IE9 is......On mine, everything is on one bar....there are icons for things that used to be buttons on IE8. How do you like the speed of 9?

I'll bet you still had toolbars (at least one) open in IE8....IE9 remebered all your settings from IE8. In tools (the gear in the upper right-hand corner) go to 'manage add-ons', and you can turn the tool bars on/off. I have all tool bars shut off.

I could do a screen shot if you like.

It was SLOW until I ran Registry Mechanic after the upgrade. Now it seems to be about the same as IE 8 - we have a Verizon air card for internet connection - lucky I got it when they were offering an unlimited plan and won't give that up.

I'll bet you still had toolbars (at least one) open in IE8 yes the command bar and menu bar were in (on) the same row in IE8, but now o two rows and the tabs are up on the top row (I know I can put them on their own row, but I can't get he menu and command bars on the same line - I'll learn to live with it, ....IE9 remebered all your settings from IE8. That'd help. Dunno what you're calling the 'command bar'......makes me think Linux...

My IE9 looks totally different from yours.....yours looks like IE8! The file edit print and everything is in that little gear. You're not using Win 7, are you? Or do you have a classic theme for your desktop?

AAAAHH, I see. Well, you'll just have to get used to the way IE9 sets up the controls, unfortunately. Don't think you can re-order those things to the way you'd like.

 Then, I guess it depends on how bad you want to...

I also go through Verizon (tethered to my smartphone), and the speed was almost doubled when I began using IE9. It was starting to really annoy me how slow things got.

We always had 4 bars here until THIS spring when leaves started to come out - now at 3 bars most of the time :frown:.
I didn't thing cellular was affected much by leaves and hasn't been a problem before (if that is what it is).
