Hello, I am in need of a belt for my riding mower Yard Machine and the Model# is 13AK608G02 and all I need to know is what size belt I need . Thanks in advance for any help!

Does your deck have 1 belt or 2? One from the engine to the deck, and another between the spindles?

Or just one? Your model number is showing both designs.

Go to mtdparts.com and you can look up your belt and any other parts you would need

Don't go by the belt size. Get the right belt from a dealer. That is a problem I see a lot. A person go's to a auto parts store with a belt size and saves a few dollars and now don't understand why the belt keeps coming off the pulleys.

I agree. You may have problems with an automotive belt. If your belt is still intact, I have had good luck with a local guy that just sells belts, pulleys, and bearings. He can match any belt / application, and is usually cheaper than OEM. It's just another option if you can find someone locally.

This is all well and good for you but will it be for this other person? I have found that this local person you are talking about doesn't know all they need to know about belts not saying yours isn't good. Go to the dealer and get the right belt and do the job right the first time.

I agree completely with going to a dealer, but if you can find a true "belt" guy, he can save you some money and pass along great advice as well. He could look at the old belt and tell you what the problem was...too loose...too tight...or tell you what caused the belts demise. If he weren't around, I would get all my belts from the dealer. I started going to him because I hated working with Sears for my Craftsman GT and my SS12 before that.
