I thought I'd start a thread where good deals can be posted. I'll start with a Hitachi RB24EAP handheld gas 2-cycle blower on sale at Amazon for $99.99 with free shipping. MSRP is $150, but normal street price is about $130. It is very lightweight, easy starting and packs a lot of power for its size. I've had one for about a month and am very pleased with it.

If your're not hung up on premium brands here IMO is a good deal to snap up if you are looking for a 2 stroke line trimmer. Sears has the 31 cc bump head straight shaft on sale @ $114 local PU or free ship. It is the old style tank placement and has the MTD engine I had for 10 years in my ryobi 790 R. The engine is what they call a 1/2 crank (?meaning?) the crank only has one main, but while it lasts (10 yrs of abuse) it is a demon.

I looked on line but for 6 months none were available here NW. Finally they moved some stock out here. There are currently 2 in Portland area. The only thing that bugs me is the silly "rubber band" starter cord, but I can live with it. The snap in feature accepts my old Ryobi brush blade and also the 2 old bump heads. (ONLINE ONLY)

Re: Homelite Gas Leaf Blower: $69.97

Yep I purchased that homelite the last time they were on sale, used the first time and it work great then it wouldn't start after that.Needless to say HD got it back.

Yeah, if I needed a blower I would 1. buy from a dealer and 2. buy a different brand like Echo or Stihl or another good brand. I would not buy a Weedeater or Homelite, but that's just me. I am just pointing out the deals, not recommending them.
