Some states (the smart ones) just completely ignore the clock changing ritual.
I remember hearing back in school that the reason for changing the clocks was that during WW1, farmers needed the extra hour of daylight.
I'm not entirely sure that a farmer cares what the clock says but IF it was in-fact for this reason, I heard from a reliable source that WW1 is winding down and pretty much over with!

Not amusing, just agreeing with you! ~~ grnspot110

Guy I used to work with over 30 years retired when I did, same agency...saw him about 6 months after retirement and he told me the biggest problem he had with retiring was, quote: "keeping this d--- smile off my face"...

To me DST is more bother than it is worth and I wish they had never invented the idea to begin with. It's getting colder fast here and I am still trying to play catch up with the chores that need to be done before winter, the time change really doesn't affect me much as being retired, I don't need to be a slave to the clock...but it's still an irritation.

Actually, DST (daylight savings time) is what we just came off of. Now we're in Standard Time. Standard Time is when it gets dark at 4:30 in the evening and gets cold earlier. I wish we could have DST all the time, year round.
