tell the customer she killed the machine and sell her a new one. Serves her right . . . . .

The irony about this entire situation is my nephew owns a stump grinding business.

Some people (several) should not be allowed to even own a mower much less try to operate one.

Received this mower last week after the customer said she hit a stump and deck started making loud noises and was vibrating. I think the issue long before she hit the supposed stump.
No mention of stone bocci balls & sand pit next to the stump...???

I once had a neighbor ask me to sharpen the blade on her push mower because it had "stopped cutting good". I tipped it up to remove the blade and was shocked to see the blades were on upside down, and had been used so long the back side was completely worn off, while the sharp edges were like new. "Stopped cutting good"? I would have loved to see just how "good" it was cutting when they were put on new. I wish I had taken pictures.

I once sold a used 6 hp string mower to a woman. I told her to check the oil and add whatever every time she fueled it. It came back blown up. She said look, it is full of oil. I pulled the dip stick and indeed it was full with clean oil except for bottom quarter inch that was black.

A fellow brought his Dixie Chopper a month "it was running yesterday" quick look without touching it, it had been sitting in the weather, no breather tube on the valve cover, the metal air filter cover had a 3/4" hole where if had been banging around the stud that held if in place without a nut on top, no terminals on the battery cables, two front tires flat, I told him he needed to leave, I won't work for a known Lier, then I pulled the dip stick water was equal to the height of the valves, then he started to apologize, told him it will all be fixed or I won't work on it, then he is really nice and you will pay cash and have 30 days to pick if up or it will be sold for the invoice, he did agree to that, I machined a few parts, machined a bushing for the breather housing, when done I have never seen a Kohler that run so smooth Idle so low, tested the machine worked great, the bill, 758.00, he said I will pic it up and pay you later, told him you were not listening when I told you cash at pickup, you have 30 days, let one of your friends know if they want it, June 1, it will be sold, he sent his girlfriend the day before with a check, she was nice but did not know the deal, told her cash by 10.00 AM the next day that I did have it sold, she showed with the cash was here at seven AM
