I have a Craftsman lt1000 and a Craftsman YT 3000. The yt3000 the engine exploded no idea how old owner managed to do that lol it looks brand new It has a Briggs and Stratton 21hp platinum 540cc xrd engine.
The lt1000 is in ok not the best of shape it runs tires and blades shot ect it has a Briggs and Stratton16 hp OVH i/c Engine.
I was looking at replacement motors for the 3000 and they cost to much no used for sale locally either. I looked at both motors it Looks like engine that is on the lt1000 will bolt up and plug in it all looks like the same even the pulley on the underside. However one is 21hp and one is 16hp do you guys think that is to big of a difference? Or can i get away with it?
