Export threadMost likely reversed the fuel line someplace between the fuel tank into the carb, through the primer bulb and back to the tank if you have that type of setup. Hard to give exact routing without knowing the model number of our trimmer.

If it has a brether then pull the lines off, wet your finger , put it across the two tubes and pump the primer.
One will blow & one will suck.
The one that blows is the return line and goes to the return line in the tank.
The return line is the one that does not have the filter on the end and usually only goes in about 1/2 "
The other tube goes to the carb.
If every thing is working properly in the carb, when you push the primer in, it will pop back out.
If you push it in and it stays in then it is on the wrong carb tube.
