Hey there. A lot of boys around here are in to having snakes as a pet. Seems like the corn snake is the most popular one. Does a corn snake make a nice pet?

I know people who keep them as pets but they seem to be high maintenance, they need a heated terrarium, because they are cold blooded and they need some room to move so their space needs to be fairly large.

They do make a good snake but only if you get them when they are really young. That is the only way to make sure they are properly socialized. A snake who is kept in a terrarium that is too small can also become unhealthy.

No snake is a good pet in my world, they scare me. I prefer cats or dogs to snakes. There is just something about slithering snakes that make my skin crawl.

I don't know much about herpetology.... but it seems to me it might be hard to keep on a leash:confused2:
