Just thought I would share this little gem with you
Did a service on a new customers mower & noticed he had a 2000 series Cub in the back of the shed
I have sort of become a bit of a 2000 series Cub specialist so asked what was wrong with it
Needs a full rebuild I was told, blows smoke every where and uses more oil than fuel, was down on power, overheated , battery was always running flat and missed a lot
As it was going to cost $ 3000 ( Aus ) to fix it I bought a new Cub ( $ 6,000 ) from the dealer but it is nowhere near as good as the old one .
So I took it back to the shop to have a look at what I could do
The following photos tell the whole story
I am going to charge him $ 450 for the repair as it is an engine out job + $ 300 for a full service
