While this is a lawmmower site, I have a question about my older model snowblower. It is a Toro model S 140. Maybe someone can help. It leaks gas. The fuel fitting from the gas tank to the carburetor is not solidly locked into the carb. What's missing here? It's just a metal to metal loose junction.

Well, is it just a basic fuel line? If so, put a zip tie around it temporary and get a metal clip for the fuel line. Maybe the fuel line itself is leaking.

The tygon tubing has a metal 90 degree fitting inserted in it. The other end of this metal fitting inserts into the carb body. But there are no threads or anything to keep this fitting engaged.........it's just a loose connection. I don't know what held it in place originally.

My guess would be that it is a press fit. Try a new fitting first. If that doesn't fix it I would say BJ weld it in.

If it can be removed another option is to seal it with this fuel resistant sealant.
