I am looking into a Z-Plugr Aerator / Seeder in Ankeny. it has a solid motor and I believe an 18 or 19 inch width and can do like 100,000 sqft an hour. is $1,800 a fair price to pay for it, or is that to much or am i getting a good deal. and also how much do you get to aerate the lawns. thank you very much.

I found a Leesco aerator at a John Deere landscape dealer. It was a rental machine that didnt run. I asked an they said they would sell it for 800 dollars. I offered them 400 and they took it. 10 minutes after I got it home it was running and I have made a pile of money with it. As far as price, it doesn't come off the trailer for less than 75 dollars. I charge 150 for a normal size yard and it takes me about 45 min. I have on average 200 dollars per hour with my machine. Hope this helps and good luck.

Likewise! My customers are happy at between 35 and 50 bucks to have their lawns aerated. As for a machine that does 100,000 sq. ft an hour, that thing must be a monster.

I think the numbers may be a bit off...
100,000 is a bit over 2 acres ... I have not seen any 18 inch aerator that could cover 2 acres in an hour...
And like the others have said, around 35 for a lawn would be normal...
So if you have an average size lawn and aerated every spring... it could take you a LONG time to break even with an $1800 machine... and a lot of other folks lawns,.... :smile:KennyV

.02 cents per square foot or it stays in the trailer.
