Hello all,
How exactly do you modify an engine and/or tractor to make it a pulling tractor? I have been thinking about it for awhile and i have a good selection of engines and lawn/garden tractors i just don't know what to do or how to do it. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
thanks,

the best tractor for pulling is a old cub cadet or a wheel horse with a k series kohler the axle is far ahead and you can put your weight out front further where are you located?

As far as pulley set up you have to play with it a little but I have found that a 6 inch in the front and a 4 inch in the rear works good for low and high rpm power. Some guys run same size pulley front and rear.
This is a pic of a good clutch set up no belt slip even when wet and playing in the mud. I can send you a link on it if you like
