Found some of the build photos today; yes, that's a 1,000 cc motorcycle engine and ATV tires!

ya it cuts grass. but are they mass prducing these now? and how much would be the price if you were to buy it if they mass produced it? and i wonder if you could get it registered because its a motorcycle engine? that would be awesome if you could.

That just seem like just too much engine. I ride motorcycle with a V twin, but a poplar US made brand. I find I have to keep the RPMs up like when I ride in towns. This seems like it would be a problem in a lawn mower or do you have it geared high. Just doesn't seem that a motorcycle engine would make a very good lawnmower engine seeing they get there power from high RPMs. Have tried to mow with this mower?

Yes, actually. The blades are driven by electric motors, and you must keep it under 4 mph.

Interesting, I didn't know Honda had a liquid cooled 1,000cc V-twin. Is it an engine from a Euro spec production bike? I don't mean to sidetrack the thread, I'm just curious about the engine. I'm not an expert in the field by any means, but motorcycles have been a lifelong passion of mine and I loosely keep up with the industry, at least in the U.S.

The build of the Mean Mower was done by Honda UK, and over there, they offer the Varaderao, which I think was the source of the donor engine. That same engine was offered on a street-only bike called the VTR here in the USA, but has since been discontinued.
