I jacked it up and placed in gear (f) and it doesn't do it , It only does it with a load as i am setting on it . This has developed so rapidely.

Tell me what to check ..

The pro's around here have day jobs. First we will need your model number and serial number so we can see exactly what mower your actually have From your description sounds like the sift collar and pinion gear are worn and not engaging properly.

28 views and no one with an answer

So what makes you think any one of those 28 had any idea of what mower you have or any ideas of how to fix it.
This is to a large extent an adult site frequented by competiant mechanics or owners with little to no technichal expertese
Thus we are not a face book page full of people with inferiority complexes compelled to "me too" within 9 nanno seconds of a post being published.
If 27 of the browsers who are obviously snubbing you had posted a "Howdy" would you be any better off ?

And 2 of those "views" was me and this reply makes it 3

I was too sick last night to reply. But am feeling a little better this AM. I would check all the mounting bolts for the rear end for tight or broken off.

Did not mean to stir up the pot by my comment of " how many viewers and no respond" .

you actually have a gear transmission with and forward and reverse gears inside. The gears have notches in them that get engaged by a sliding shift collar, the notches on the sliding gear and the forward engagement gear are worn, and will allow jumping of the notches which will be felt like jerks. You will need to pull the tranny and replace those gears and sliding collar.

Before removing the tranny just check then condition of the belt to make sure there isn't any pieces missing that could cause slippage and jerking.

The belts have seen some usage /better days , Saw hair cracks from the inside but i will check for missing chunks , One thing i noticed is when i push the left foot pedale the tractor doesn't stop as good as it use to be , I groomed her flower bed few times mis judging the break :confused2:

Thank you for the great information you provided friend. DO you mind pointing out the exact parts you are refering 2 by referencing this diagram i found listed on this part supplier web site .Greatly appreciated it
