The 794122 could be a different length diameter, or different keyway or some other change

No, I am not talking about the crank at that point in the post, The 794122 part # is the piston to crank rod. It has 2 oil orifices. All the other 33 cube motors don't.

i don't think the oiling holes in the rod matter much since it's Pressure lubricated, if i'm thinking right, the oil will flow through the crank to the rod.

The piston , crank , cam is the same part # s in all the 33 cube / 540 cc engines . But some 33Rs have this better connecting rod. The 794122 . Thats all I'm saying
