briggs 4hp springs

well like i said its working but there still is something. why does my air vane have two connection points. guess im going to have to try connecting the spring to the lower point and then to the loop in the rod to see what difference it makes in speed. i even called briggs abut they dont seem to know either.

Just make sure that the bar, rod, link is clear of the cover when that goes back on (maybe that's the reason) and you should be fine, and you will know when the engine is running if it needs to go down or up...!
 
briggs did call me and said the extra mounting point on the air blade is for another application. figures, just frustrating not to of seen a diagram of that. anyway its all good now and set at 3600 rpm max. seems to be good to go.
