Husqvarna has bought/owns a very large portion of the mower world, and keeping up with it is hard to do.

They acquired Dixon few years ago, which is the reason it is real hard to find a Dixon dealer anymore....

Husqvarna bought AYP - American Yard Products a some years ago. AYP also made/makes many mowers for Sears.

Husqvarna has nothing to do with Gravely or Ariens. Ariens purchase gravely a while back. The problem is that trying to tell you what Husqvarna owns or makes ie nearly impossible because like MTD there in bed with everyone to make money. Husqvarna is a box dealer, the sell through and make mowers for Sears, Lowes, Home Depot and who knows where.

Husqvarna: Husqvarna.com An all encompassing name that includes the following:

  • Husqvarna Residential: Husqvarna Residential Like John Deere, Husqvarna has a box line and a eariler line. The dealer line usually features heavier (welded) decks and the new Husqvarna Rider.
  • Husqvarna Landowner: Seriously look at the landowner line of you have slopes or hills. These machine have heavy duty transmissions and the weight needed to work on hills.
  • Husqvarna Commercial: Husqvarna Commercial. This is a new line of well designed heavy duty machines. If you have a large lawn seriously take a look at the 61 inch. Like The Yard Shark it has huge tires and a light footprint making it an ideal residential mower.
  • Dixon: Dixon Arguably the best homeowner zero-turn. The Husqvarna residential and landowner series came from this great line.
  • Poulan: Poulan.com.
  • Weedeater: Weedeater.com/
  • Yazoo/Kees: Husqvarna officially discontinued this line Oct. 2011.
  • Flymo: Flymo

Scatch Ariens...Ariens is an independent manufacturer and bought Gravely for their Commercial line a few years back. Manufactured in Wisconsin.

Husqvarna also owns Peerless Gear, and I believe RedMax. they are also producing push mowers for walmart under the Murray name.

MTD doesn't make Murry. Murry is owned by B&S and is mostly an AYP product.
