Today while mowing the blades would disengage for no apparent reason and then re-engage with no actions taken by me. Belts appear to be in tact. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my 321d. It turns out it was the seat safety switch. You can unplug it then run a jumper to connect the 2 wires and see if it still cuts out. It dosn't cost anything to try, but if it is the problem make sure you replace the seat switch and hook it back up.

Update - the issue was the wiring connection at the clutch. Thanks for steering me in the right direction!
