I have a toro commercial mow deck and I want a spare set of blades. I see the Toro OEM blades (112947) and after market options, with a significant price difference. I have no experience here. Are the "bargain"blades a good value or is it better/more durable to use the Toro blades?

With a file we can tell which blades we would prefer . Heat treated for hardness they would file similar to a cold chisel .

When it comes to lawn mower blades, using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) blades like the Toro OEM blades (112947) typically ensures better performance and durability, as they are designed specifically for your mower. While aftermarket blades can be significantly cheaper, their quality can vary widely; some may not cut as well or last as long as the OEM options. If you’re looking for long-term reliability and performance, it’s generally better to invest in the Toro blades. However, if you're on a tight budget and are willing to try the aftermarket options, just make sure to read reviews and choose a reputable brand to ensure you're getting a decent quality product.
