Big Whoops! I added chain saw oil instead of 2-stroke to make up my gallon of 50:1 mix!

Hi Everyone, Has anyone done this before?? Any advice/solutions welcome. But maybe I'll have to ditch the bad mixture and start again.
If there is a workaround, I'd be v. interested. For instance, could I go ahead and maybe add a smaller proportion of 2 stroke? Would I end up wrecking my chain saw or is it worth a shot?
Any advice, suggestions - most welcome!

I don't think its usable in a small engine like that. You may be able to dump it in a car gas tank (or big rider lawnmower) and use it there since it will be so diluted. That is probably what I would do. The problem with those types of oils is they do not burn well, in fact motor oils are designed to withstand higher temps.

If you mean bar oil, then you need to dump it all out and start again.

Can't fix broken gas.

Good thing it was only a gallon.

Yup, run that gas in a larger engine!
It'll work fine!

I would drop it off at a waste disposal site- it's only one gallon. Or, if someone has a burn pile, use it for that.

Use it to clean parts. Don't throw it away guys. Or spray it on your wooden stockade fence. 100 plus year old farmers trick to preserve the wood.

Just dilute it in a bigger tank and run thru your mower or any other larger tank'ed engine. I have a 4 stroke outboard that I had to use as a premix disposal system.

Don't feel too bad I just a saw last week where the Operator put all bar oil in the fuel tank and the fuel mix in the chain bar oil tank. It took nearly 30 minutes to clear the mess up.

Bar oil is fun to clean up. Especially as tacky as it is.
