I believe that was a Hustler advertisement.

The Dixie Chopper they used was not a comparable mower. I have seen a Dixie Chopper that would be much faster than anything they had racing.

Yeah that's true....it was pretty small compared to the others.

The reviews are not great, but I like this mower, just because it has a "wing" on the back!!

LMF,

The model you are looking at there is the Outlaw XP Series. Prices on that "start" @ $8399 for a 54". Before I bought my Gravely, I looked at the "regular" Outlaw(54") model and the best the dealer would do was $7,000 out-the-door(and a ROPS was $300 extra). IMHO, the Outlaw models are a good ZTR and have the heaviest duty deck of any ZTR's in that price range that I looked at(a 5 gauge....yeah a full 1/4" thick fabricated deck). The "problem" with that is the weight of that puppy(the mower weighs 1250lbs). I've got a weak right leg(I'm a polio survivor) and try as I could at the dealership I simply could not adjust(raise/lower) that massive deck. I can easily handle my Gravely's deck adjustment, but the lift design is also better than the Bad Boy!! All-in-all, though, the dealer I went too used to exclusively sell Dixons(until Husqvarna bought them out) and had a lot of Bad Boy Outlaw customers(one I talked to) that "love" their Bad Boy Outlaws. Another "neat" feature was that the Outlaw's gas tanks on each side "swung out" giving good access to the engine, belt and trannies. In all fairness, the Bad Boys that they sold at TSC(the ZT series) is no where close to the quality of the Outlaws. If I could have handled the Outlaw's deck lift(and the dealer would have come down a couple $100, and included the ROPS) I would definitely have bought one. I looked at the ZT series and like pointed out by others......DEFINITELY not even close to "commercial quality".
