thought I would post some pics of the end result of what I said in my previous post. i also included a close up of the head between cylinder and rod passageway where it was leaking during leak down test. maybe someone sees something that I dont for the reason of the compression leak.
PS: I also put my straight edge machined to a flatness rating of .001 on the block across the section between cylinder and rod passageway. couldn't get a .0015 feeler gauge to slip under at all. also used light shines behind it, couldn't see any light from other side. so I don't think cylinder or block is warped or anything. going to buy another new gasket and see what that does.
