I am wondering in the fuel inlet from the fuel tank isn't connected to the nipple for the pump because there are one two ways for fuel to come out the pump vent, and the new pump should of eliminated the other possibility
I am the second owner. It was a yr old when I bought it and there has not been any problems in the 3 yrs I have owned it.
It was working fine last fall when I filled the tank added fuel stabilizer and removed the battery for the winter.
I believe I connected the lines properly to the new pump. The vaccum line comes off the front of the pump and the 2 fuel lines out the sides.
The gas does seem to pulse out of the pump.
Ilengine are you suggesting that I switch the two fuel lines and could that in any way damage the new pump or anything else or would it just not work.
The filter was definitely plugged up with only a little gas getting thru, that is not a problem with the new filter installed. I did some cutting with it for about 15 mins and it ran fine but is still leaking gas.
The only other thing I did was install new blades.
Maybe it has always leaked gas and I didn't notice it until it quit running because of the blocked filter but I think I would have noticed it.
