My 94 MT has trouble climbing hills. Regular turf tires just spin. I know walker has some all terrain tires; but they are wider then what are on it. I put enough divits in my lawn turning around, so I'd like to stick with the same width (18X7-8s). I see some ATV tires that are the right size. Anyone ever try this? Or does anyone know a reason they can't be used? ) ie: sidewall rubs on frame. Seems like it should work fine, but I've been wrong before.
I'm assuming that wider tires will tear up more turf on my turns, thus my reason to stay with the same width tire

ATV tires have a very low psi, 3 to 4 psi. If they fit the rims and don't hit the chassis I don't know why you can't use them. I think you will find that they are a wider tire. They are made for traction and mud so they will rip your lawn up on the turns. I own and run two ATVs and do find that they can sure dig up the sod.
