Need to replace my B&S18hp opposable twin on my MTD rider and have the opportunity to pick up a B&S 19hp opposable twin. Would it fit or would there be any troubles with the swap?

No problem other than the alternator may be different. Those will interchange if they are different and you can't figure out the wiring change.

Maybe even the exact same engine. Depends on type number. Briggs back these were being sold had labeled at different HP even through they were the same engine.
