Hey BKBrown, hot darn...after 70 views nobody has been willing to post of pic of themselves on this forum, that means we are the two BEST LOOKING guys here, oh, wait, DARN IT, my nephews are the two best looking guys and we are the two ugliest ones...IT AIN'T FAIR...:laughing::laughing::frown:

As long as my better half and my dog love me that is all that matters ! :thumbsup: :biggrin: :wink:

And for what it is worth, that was the worst roofing tear off job I have ever done in my life, look at how thick the layers are !!!!

JD thats some rip job! I helped rip our roof a few yrs ago and it had 3 layers so I feel for ya.

My question is what was holding up the roof? All that weight, and throw in some snow on top of
it all can't be structurally safe, could it?

As for pictures I'm still typing with two fingers! but I'm learning....cubby

I am darned the roof didn't cave in myself...note the photo of the rafters below...decking was 1/2 inch plywood it was so soft you could step right thru it...

JD,back in the day when I worked a second job hot tarring we had a few tear offs like that.one of the guys working was a big old Indian that weighed around 320.we'd put him out in front to test the roof.If he made it then we'd follow. russ
