The craftsman looks flimsy as usual. No pic of the husky but curious about their BBC set up. AWD doesn't excite me though, and there's heavy duty and then there's HEAVY DUTY. I see these new mowers at the big box stores and just laugh. I know, it's all been said before but I'll spend money on old stuff any day over this new junk. All u gotta do is put their hands on a $500 new craftsman and a 25 year old snapper to feel the difference.

The problem with the AWD is there just to slow. I would have thought they could have done better than 3 mph.

Awd is a selling point that's all. And the craftsman makes me sad...

Everything just looks plasticky. I'll try not to go too far off the rails on this rant BUT when something built right and built well it doesn't need to be improved on just for the sake of calling something new and improved. I just don't get it. I get it but I don't get it.

I agree with you, If it ain't broke don't fix it, leave it alone.

I don't know how well that engine lineup will fare on the new ones . Last years AWD had a Honda on it that worked real well on steep hills. The engines being offered on the new models are not that Honda. My neighbor bought one last year and it performed very well on his place. But he used it a lot on steep slopes mowing both up and down. Mowing up steep slopes is a slower process and by the time the top is reached the engine has been on a steep angle for some time. I also observed this fellows boys running them across the hills as they can get pretty good footing with heavy heeled boots and young legs. That trip across the slope was several minutes each time. Those mowers have great traction. People are going to take advantage of that. We will see I guess.
