I have a 14 year old 42" craftsman. The steering gears started jumping 2 years ago and I fixed it. Now it has already started jumping again and only when i steer to the right. What other problem may I have causing it to be hard to steer to the right? I have to be in motion to steer to the right. If I'm going slow or backing up and steer to the right I will feel it tighten and have to let off to keep it from jumping. Any and all advice I appreciate.

On the bottom of the steering shaft it slides into a T made of plastic you need to replace that and both bushings on the gear shaft that the T rides on
