I broke my lift arm on my 9561 front deck part number 603559. I welded it but it broke again. I would like to buy a used part if possible. A new one is expensive. I would buy an old deck for the parts if I could find one.

A welding is a casting so a welded lift arm will never be as strong as the one that broke even if a perfect weld has been done
So clean the old weld off , reweld it, grind the weld back flush then weld a brace across the place where it broke.
Old blades make excellent patch plated as they are a particularly strong grade of steel.

Once repaired, pay careful attention to the balance of the blades and condition of the spindle bearings
Lift arms break because the spinning blades create excessive vibrations

Anew lift arm for the 9561 is around $630.00 with a 2 month wait for fabrication. I found out from Grasshopper there is an arm with the hook for a 72 inch deck that can be welded on to replace the broken hook. About $80.00 shipped so I went that route. I forgot the part number but in a week when the part arrives I will relay that info.
