944 articulator electrical problem

the starter and solenoid went on my bolens and now that they have been both replaced i get nothing when i turn the key but if i jump the terminals the starter tries to turn the engine over.what does this sound like to you?

Is it the correct solenoid? How many small terminals are on it?
If it's the right one & correctly wired... then one of the interlock switches is open. Is the PTO switch off? :smile:KennyV

its a 4 post solinoid and i know the blade switch is off because its a lever-pressure inter lick operated by the seat.
