I have a 42" Troy-Bilt Pony rider approximately 7-10 years old (I inherited it used). Last weekend, I bought new blades which are Arnold high lift, bright yellow, blades that are supposed to be good for my new grass catcher. Everything was OK for about 10 minutes, then the desk was making all kinds of banging noise and severe vibration. Enough where I had to shut it off.
Any thoughts? Everything seems tight and the blades were put on with an impact wrench.
Another issue is the mower wont move forward unless the transmission speed is pushed up to about half, even worse when the PTO is engaged.

Any thoughts please?
Thank you in advance.

Deck issues could be a missing chunk on the belt, bad bearing in a spindle or idler pulley. Drive system could be that the belts are worn and not working properly..

And as the last thing done is usuualy the culprit, check that the blades are fitted properly.
It is easy to get them at a slightly funny angle or not seated properly and that will shake the deck like the devil himself is on your tail.
