4 cycle Ryobie trimmer woes

Can get the trimmer to start but if have to stop it for any reason (change line, etc), starter rope becomes too
hard to pull. Have to let it cool before attempting to start again.:frown:

does it jerk or is it just too hard ?

Becomes very hard to pull starter rope - feels almost like it is locking up.
