Hello, I've got a 21hp huskee riding mower that dies when you engage the deck. The idler pulley was bad but I changed it an mowed just fine. Did an oil change an new plugs an now it's doing it again. Any suggestions?? Thanks

Most likely cause is a bad safety switch. most likely the seat switch, or the wiring associated with it.

Could it be shorting out?? I was mowing with it. It's not an instant cut off, it'll run for a few then die, even if I disengage it to try an keep it running.

Scratch the whole safety switch thing, been tinkering with it an it will only run the deck with the choke about halfway on. Noticed there's not really any adjustment screws on that weird looking carb. Do they make tune up kits for these? Again thanks for any info

Get me the model number and other info off the engine and I will look up a carb repair kit for you.
