I am needing to replace the KT735- 3030 engine but that model has been replaced with the KT735-3054 at a cost of 1600$. I found a KT735-3053 for 900$. will this model fit my 2015 Gravely ZT 42" mower? I am even willing to drop HP for a cheaper engine as long as its a direct fit.

Any KT 7000 series engine will bolt right up
Just check the PTO shaft diameter & length
If the one you get is not exactly the same the old parts from the deceased mower can be swapped over to the new engine.
Otherwise you will be paying the extra $ 300 for convienance.

Both use the same crankshaft part number so it should work. Looks like the main differences are the air filter, and the carb, and for some reason they use different camshaft but that won't matter in this case.
