1994 Kohler mv18s

[1994 craftsman]

Having problem with craftsman when it gets hot. The battery drains and the mower deck kills the engine when I use the PTO to engage it.When I disconnect the regulator connector the deck and motor runs fine,but I cannot kill the engine with the ignition switch. Then when I connect the regulator/rectifier while running it kills the engine. Any ideas would help thanks.

I suspect you have a problem with your charging system. The troubleshooting guide in this manual should help. Post back after you go through it and if the problem is not found, we will look at the wiring.
