I was riding my old Murray with 18hp twin cyl. Briggs model 422707 and it just died like I had turned the key off. Checked the spark with a tester and it there was none. took the cowling off and removed the kill switch wire from the magneto/coil. Still no spark. Installed a new coil and used a business card to space it from flywheel. Sanded the rust off the flywheel and cranked it, still no spark. Removed the kill switch wire and still no spark. I'm i missing something or is my new coil just bad??
DUH!!!! I feel really stupid! Thanks guys, Feel free to laugh at me on this one. I bet I don't do this again. Bye the way it works a lot better when it's turned right side up!
