    Tires Unavailable

I get your point and I agree. My concern, albeit admittedly exaggerated, is which obsolete part will need replacing next. My bigger rant is how crazy I find it that the particular size tire is so rare.

    Tires Unavailable

I need replacement tires for my old Toro walk-behind. Seems this tire size, 14x5.0-6, is as rare as hen’s teeth. A Toro dealer said he can get me the tires for $78 each plus tax. That price seems ridiculous to me. That’s just for the tire. Not a rim/wheel. As far as other vendors, I find only...

    Repair or abandon?

Got it fixed and it ran fine mowing the lawn last night. Was more involved than I thought it would be to get the clutch out and the new one in, but it’s behind me now. I replaced all the belts while I had it apart. Thank you for the tips and direction.

    Toro clutch air gap?

I just ordered the Toro clutch to install on my Toro T-bar walk behind belt drive mower. Model 30159-790509. Serial #61005. Anybody know what I will need to set the air gap at on this clutch? GENUINE OEM TORO PART # 105-2635 CLUTCH BRAKE ASM; REPLACES # 54-3200 & 55-7410

    Repair or abandon?

Well, I ordered a new clutch today. I’ll give it a go trying to put it in. Although the cost to have my lawn cut is certainly reasonable, it brings up a lot inconvenience. I’d have to coordinate unlocking the gate and moving my truck to gets parked on the side of the house. hopefully I don’t...

    Repair or abandon?

I’ll get about 10 to 15 minutes out of it and then they will shut down. I can engage the blades again and they may run for another 5 to 7 minutes. Repeat and they might run for 1 to 2 minutes until they won’t engage at all. I’ll let the mower cool down for about an hour and the blades once...

    Repair or abandon?

I’m not much of a mechanic to start with, although perhaps a YouTube video would help me muddle through. The other issue though is that I’m currently in a rental house and don’t have all of my tools currently nor a very good place to work on the mower

    Repair or abandon?

36” Toro walk-behind belt drive. Blades stop running after about 15 minutes. After I replaced the dead man switch and the blade engagement switch trying to rule out those items, local mower shop adjusted the clutch for the blades and addressed a few minor problems as well as did an oil change...

Disappointed with lack of response from Hustler customer service

About a month ago I purchased the Hustler Raptor 60'. I have no complaints about the mower. I do have a couple of simple questions that I wanted Hustler customer service to address. For the life of me I can not find a telephone number to contact Hustler directly. I did make use of their...

Hustler Raptor SD Vs. Snapper 550Z

Short version: I am in the market for a new 60" mower. I have it narrowed down to the Hustler Raptor SD and the Snapper 550Z. Both have the Kawasaki 24 HP engine. Both are priced at $4,600. Which is the better choice? The longer version: My 15+ year Gravely Pro Master 60" is in need of...

    Gravely Hydro Fluid?

I'm having no success getting a response in the Gravely area of the forum. Maybe I'll have better success putting it to a wider audience? I have a roughly 10 year old Gravely Pro Master 320 HD with a 60" deck. Can anyone tell me, or better yet point me to some printed information, what to use...

Gravely Pro Master 320 hydraulic fluid

I have a roughly 10 year old Gravely Pro Master 320 HD with a 60" deck. Can anyone tell me, or better yet point me to some printed information, what to use for hydraulic fluid? Also, in what position should the deck be when I look for the fluid level on the dip stick? I purchased an owner's...
