    Thanks for that, either my automatic decompression is not working or is not on this motor, as I did a comp test and it showed 150psi on cylinder 2, I will do some more research. Appreciate your help!

    G'day all, Can anyone explain to me the huge differences in the compression specifications as printed in the Kubota Service Manual for the ZG222. See image below. Number 1 cylinder 173 psi Number 2 cylinder 52 psi. Thanks

    Thanks Lugbolt, all fixed the woodruff key on the flywheel dislodged when I put flywheel back on, so timing was out...that fixed it and I also put new exhaust gaskets on, so all good. Cheers

    Any one got an infra red thermometer and a zg222 or zg227 they can take some warmed up operating temperatures of the engine running, i.e exhaust, crankcase, valve covers etc. Thanks

    G'day from Aus. G'day, Just introducing myself, Tony from Victoria, Australia. Own a Kubota ZG222 zero turn. Would have to be one of the toughest mowers I have had, but recently broke a con-rod, my fault lack of oil. Anyhow just getting it going again, thanks for the forum.

    I pulled the motor out again checked all cooling fins, all good, decided to check woodruff key on flywheel, it appears it may have moved out of slot when I put flywheel on last time, I am guessing it fell into flywheel and stuck to bottom of magnet, that is the theory. I marked the flywheel...
