Yes, St. Augustine is tough to cut, & does not to be cut too short. The motor probably overheated & caused it to shut down. That mower is very capable of cutting her grass .

I have a Greenworks 60V system . It is overkill for my needs as far as the string trimmer, but it uses the same batteries as my mower. Very pleased with everything .

Clippings can gather under the mower in that area. Use a blower to remove those, then a little oil on the linkages.

If you are going to use the vacuum often, cut the grass more often & don't let it get too high, or cut too much off at a time. Never cut when wet. Run RPMS at full speed & drive a little slower. How old is the battery ? Do you have a good battery to test the tool ? A battery can show the correct voltage, but once it is " under a load ", it may fail.

Here is a diagram with parts. I am not familiar with your mower, but it looks like most others. The belt tension is provided by an idler pully with a spring that pulls it tight, so no adjustment. A new FACTORY belt should last longer than a year, unless other parts such as Idlers, pulleys , etc...

I agree to re-check the flywheel key by REMOVING the flywheel. They can be partially sheared & you can't see that without removing the flywheel.

Those reinforcement plates that Brad mentioned sounds like a good idea, too.

If you do a thorough search online by the part number, you can find the assembly a little cheaper than almost $200. I had rather replace the entire spindle to make sure it is done right & all parts match & there is no wear. Clean everything & LOOK closely at the other spindle as well . Vibration...

My Greenworks speeds up to when hitting higher grass. You can extend cutting time by not using the self-propelled feature all the time. If you have downhill slopes, short runs on level ground , turning around , etc. , don't use that feature. Stopping for a short water/bathroom/cooling...

Congratulations on your new purchase . You can always cut part of your yard, take a break, recharge the batteries, then finish. That will let YOUR battery recharge at the same time.

I looked at a mower some years ago , that had a blown Tecumseh engine. It had maybe 2 hours on it when it blew a hole in the block. It only had ONE connecting rod nut holding the rod to the crank !! I found no evidence that it ever had both nuts on it.

Are you running this mower at FULL throttle when cutting ?

I doubt they are made anymore, but I got over 40 YEARS on a Robin Weed trimmer, & it was still running. Just converted to battery.

I love my Greenworks 21" self propelled 60V. BUT, I discharge the grass out of the side & have never tried to bag it. I have the mower, string trimmer, blower, hedge trimmer, chainsaw, & power convertor, so you see how much I like their products. Are you sure you only have 7000 sq. ft...

Maybe you can rig up a tank supported by a cross brace on the handle.

I used to have a yard with a few sloped areas that were similar. I also had to sit on the upper edge of the seat & lean. My wife could mow it without much trouble, because she was much smaller than me.

All tools are 60volts. I bought a self propelled 21" mower, string trimmer , blower, chainsaw, hedge trimmer, & an auxiliary power source. [ turns 60v to 300w of power. I am VERY pleased with everything & the cost was no more than gas powered. .

I was getting fed up with mine, plus my shoulders are getting bad & it hurts to pull start. I went to Greenworks 60v tools & have not looked back.

It does look a lot like a Greenworks 60v mower. Maybe they rated it 62v just to beat Greenworks 60v. Only time will tell how good it is. I LOVE my Greenworks 60v.
