Like Reply I think I answered everything, i tried to to a cut and paste with your red highlights but I also couldn't d that as well. I did blow out the carb after cleaning with compressor and air hose.

Quick answer is yes, this engine has a radiator on top, not shroud. the top of the engine is exposed if you remove the filter case. IT debris blows out very good with a blower after ever mowing, I did inspect it well while working it this season.

Thank you, I guess I will need to buy a new carburetor, I have replaced the fuel, fuel filter, fuel lines, cleaned the carb, replaced the solenoid and fuel pump. drained and refilled with new gas the tanks. What's next? Also the air filters!

To be perfectly honest, I do not know what carburetor I am looking for. IT's for a FD731V AS09 engine and I am trying to find to correct carb. Will the 750 carb that is jetted differently be a problem for the 731 engine. Probably has more fuel but will the governor control the engine speed ok?

Thanks, I did what I could do. I am not as capable at repair as I was .I'm getting to old to work on this stuff I'm afraid, Solenoid issue solved. Can't pressure test the carb. I can get it running with about 2/3 throttle and 1/3 choke. Full throttle dies and fuel choke dies as well as no choke.

Another update. Cleaned the carb. Helped a little but not enough. Put the old fuel pump back on. Better. But not perfect It dies at least run for several minutes if you keep pulling the choke on and half off. As after running for a couple minutes, and restarting several times I can get it...

Tried cleaning the solenoid with carb cleaner and still no go. It still makes the clicking sound. Question, With the solenoid out of the carb and the wire attached, touching the ground to. get a small spark (of course) but no clicking or solenoid pin moving. Does that seen right. Shouldn't it...
