I bought a John Deere F725 front deck mower (they don’t make any more). It is over 20 years old. I do all the maintenance myself including oil changes, filter changes,belt changes, transmission oil changes, deck leveling,etc. It has a Kawasaki engine with no problems so far and I mow 1.50...

It seems the bracket is welded to the frame and it can’t be moved.

I’ve replaced the two be,ts with John Deere belts. When I went to adjust them the spring was completely loose, nut was tight and I’m at a loss what to do except put washers behind spring so it will tighten up enough to allow it to give the belts the correct 3/4” slack. Any thoughts?

I’ve checked with at least three John Deere dealers and they all say part is obsolete! Just trying to find one anywhere!

Does anyone have anything showing how levers these should go together or could take a picture of theirs? I took mine apart without taking a picture and am questioning myself as to how the thrust plates are supposed to be exactly. Thanks in advance!
