I just got a Silver Eagle that was too close to a fire. How can I tell what year it is? I haven't found a tag yet (Probably burned off). Is there a serial number stamped somewhere? Not sure where to look. I did find most of the engine numbers.

Are springer front forks a worthwhile addition to an old mower? I have a 1999 X2002-50 and a rough yard and need some relief. I have replaced the seat with one that has a good suspension and that helped a lot, but was wondering if the forks would help more if they will fit my mower.
