OK, I just read this about a guy who has the world's fastest lawnmower! World's fastest lawnmower - europe - world | Stuff.co.nz If you'll notice, he is on the beach with it! Yeah, fast is one thing, but can it cut grass? That's what I want to know!

Is it worth doing it yourself?

I have sometimes ordered the parts, but I don't think I am very handy, and sometimes cause more problems than I had originally! I prefer to buy the part if I can find it pretty cheap, and then have a professional do it!

    Building a lawn

I have a huge area on the side of my house that is just dirt, and I am debating on whether I should use grass seed or lay sod. I actually have tried seed in the past, but I have quite a few trees that shade the area, and the grass didn't grow. Not sure if I just didn't use good seed? Would...

    What is your mowing "technique"?

    Outdoor Burning

Are you allowed to burn leaves outdoors where you live? I am so glad that I am. I have so many oak trees in my yard, I don't know what I would do with all of these leaves otherwise. Of course, the city will pick them up, but it would still be a lot of work, bagging them, not to mention the...

Has anyone ever been injured badly while mowing the lawn? Fortunately, I have not, but I have a friend who pulled the mower back a little too far and chopped off his little toe! Ouuuuchhhh!

    Power Rakes

I saw a "power rake" for rent at a home supply store. Is it worth my while to rent something like this occasionally during the fall?

    Leaves

I have a neighbor who "mows" his leaves, rather than raking or blowing them off his lawn. He says he likes to leave them there because it makes his grass grow back better. He has a nice lawn, but I honestly can't tell that his grass is any better for doing that. Mine is just as nice for...

    Pushmower Maintenance

OK, I do own a Scott's Push Reel Mower. I use it every now and then when I want to cut a small part of the yard on the side of my house. It usually works pretty good for me, but lately it seems like the blades are getting dull. Is there a way to sharpen them?
