    Ethanol only?

Some go cart classes run straight alcohol. They can get more power than gas because alcohol has a high octane rating around 113 plus it runs cooler than gas but you need something like a 14:1 compression ratio to take advantage of the octane rating. So running high alcohol content fuel in an...

    Ethanol only?

Mower engines are jetted totally wrong for straight ethanol plus the stuff will eat rubber and gaskets and rust steel and must be stored in air tight containers. Gasoline is a solvent but not corrosive. Alcohols are corrosive.

    Craftsman Lawnmower. (Battery)

99% of the batteries used in push mowers are a standard SLA battery. If the old one is still on the mower it will have info printed on it. You can use that to find a new battery.

Greenworks 80 volt Pro Charging issues

I find it ironic I went to a friends house to look at his 1957 evinrude outboard engine and the guy can't drive his Nissan Leaf because the regular lead acid car battery that powers the electronics is dead. The car needs a battery to tell the car to use the big battery.

Briggs Vanguard V-Twin rocker arm lubrication

If you look at a briggs flathead engine the mist must travel through a hole about 3/8"" to get into the valve spring chamber to lube the valve guides.

Briggs Vanguard V-Twin rocker arm lubrication

Briggs engines with solid lifters oil the valvetrain by mist oiling. The oil in the crankcase is whipped onto a mist, not vapor, by the crankshaft that lubricates the valvetrain. Engines with oil pumps push oil to the crank for the con rod and upper bearing but not the valvetrain. So engines...

05 Scag 19 hp Kawasaki cuts off

Start at the battery. Remove and Clean BOTH ends of the cables and the terminals. Even if they "look good" clean them. Look for fuses. Remove any you find and look for any corrosion or heat damage. Do a general inspection of the wiring looking for anything melted or corroded connections. Sounds...

    Snapper Big Mow Pulley nut

I am confused..... you say it has a pulley on the top of the engine to drive the front wheel. Does it have a pull rope start or electric? I don't understand how it has a belt pulley and a rope recoil on the engine.

You might get the briggs 19114 wrench to fit. It is out of production. You could get a piece of flat stock and drill 2 holes in it and use a couple grade 5 or 8 bolts and use it like a pin spanner to remove the clutch.

Try this. Install NEW spark plugs. Disconnect the coil kill wires. Remove air cleaner and spray about a 2 second shot of starting fluid into carb. Don't choke it. Try to start engine. If engine fires up and runs for a few seconds you have spark on at least one cylinder and valves are close...

If the compressor is being vented when engine goes to idle maybe the engine idle speed too low possibly? There shouldn't be much load from the compressor at idle if it is being vented. Not sure what's going on.

    T210 blade removal

I do charge for time to remove/destroy/break off fasteners. I work on lots of old stuff and I have an induction heater, impact tools and an oxy propane torch so most rusted nuts and bolts don't give much trouble. What I spend time on is tiller tines and rear wheels on some riding mowers.

That is where the the compressor vents when the pilot shifts to idle. If you pull the line from the check valve it should unload the compressor and not stall the engine when it shifts to idle.

    Need some help guys

When the engine stops the tank shouldn't be venting. Where is the air venting from with the engine stopped? Number 19 is the check valve. It is very common for those to leak. When they leak it can screw up what the pilot valve does as it leaks pressure back into the compressor. looks like the...

    T210 blade removal

Most of the homeowner mowers use some type of star center so they are not self tightening. There is usually a vent on the unloader valve that vents at idle. The valve below might be the the over pressure blow off. Not sure where the unload vent is on that one. Have you adjusted the pilot valve?
