Hey guys. I have a 2002 Yamaha G22A golf cart. A neigbor gave it to me claiming it didn't run. Well it wouldnt crank if you tried to, so what I did was I jumped the solinoid and it cranked up, and fired up. I have been starting it that way for about a week now, and it never blew the 20 amp fuse...

I have AD blocker, its free and takes a couple minutes to download, it makes it to where not a SINGLE ad pops up on your screen..no matter the website.

If you tilt your head sideways and look at it where the X is on top and the D is on bottom, youll probably see where im coming from

Yea, depending on what brand you get, especially if its one of the cheap ones, 3 years is what they would usually last. You're actually probably lucky that battery lasted 3 yrs ?

Thats probably a call you will have to make... To me, it looks like its in good shape, and especially the bagger, those things are pretty expensive. And that PTO engagement issue, is probably the gov just as you said it was.

Yes, please do that, often times people have the same case as you did, and i also had the same case, but the coil and magnet were a bit rusty, a little bit of sand paper, and thats all it took.

That may be the issue, report back when you do it and tell us how it goes.

Is there any holes or cracks, maybe dry rotted primer bulb?

Does your carb have a adjustable mixture screw? Also, please post you engine model numbers.

Rivets, he said he ordered a new one, and he installed it, and it did the same thing. It COULD be possible, but i dont think anyhting built a nest in it for the short period of time hes had the new one.

Maybe you are running the carb to rich, one day i was bored and i straight piped my mower?, but when ever i revved it and let off the throttle it would cut off, it was because since the engine is not working as hard to push air out the pipe, it just needed more fuel because of the open headers...

ah yes, those hydros are much easier to operate, and they will last along time as long as you keep good care of it and keep that tranny fluid topped off.

Does it start by itself, or are you using starting fluid?

Sounds like it might be running too lean, and might be getting to much air in the intake. How easy does it start when the engine is warm?

you could try one of your local auto parts stores "loan a tool system" where they loan you a tool, and you must give it back or else you pay for it. i did it once, but i frogot wich one it was, it was either autozone, o'reileys, or pep boys.

are you saying that the socket is stuck to the head of the bolt? or is the bolt just not coming out?

Sounds like you have an exaughst leak, id make sure your muffler bolts are tight.
