Has anyone used two V belts on the wheel drive pulleys rather then the $80 drive belt. The stock belt is 1 1/8 inch wide by 52 1/4 long I am thinking two V belts will work.

I think something is very wrong in this pic. The belt should be on the other side of the shiny rod. The belt goes between the rod and pulley.

This is what I do with my cub. I get 2 to 3 yards a week like this. The way they design the deck and the pulley set up let's this mower power thru tall grass.

Ran out of edger blades once and put one of these on. Works good for drives that are over grown from not being edged in a year.
