I'm trying to find just the OEM hydro filters & 'O' rings for my neighbor's 2016 Ferris is2100 with the 28hp efi engine. I se where they sell a kit but thought I could save him a dime and piece it together.......Also, I run Mobile 1 15W50 in my gravely. Suggestions for this Ferris? Thanks!

Last fall I added a OEM chute blocker to my Gravely Hd Zt 60, along with Oregon mulching blades. The idea was to go after the leaves in the yard. But with the blocker, seems like all I did was blow the leaves away from the mower before I could mulch 'em up. I suppose because the discharge chute...

I'd try taking off those mulching blades & go back to some high-lift Oregon straight blades. Mower a little slower, more often.

So, my elderly neighbor, who's '16 IS2100 that I change oil, sharpen blades, etc. should have these bolts removed & zerks installed? Would be glad to do it for him. How many & where do I look?

I'm not a 'pro' but keeping a clean underdeck and mowing every 3 days will probably solve your problem

I listed in the WTB section that I was interested in buying an All-American blade sharpener. That was some time ago, and no responses. That got me to thinking, if maybe the 'pros' aren't using some type of 'jig', maybe I don't need one also. Sooooo are you fellas mostly just free-handing these...

So far my set-up seems to produce decent-looking results. Gator G5 blades, front slightly higher, and I don't have to mow 5-6 yards/day so I'm not in any hurry. Still 'speriminting with DIY striping ideas. The heavy door mat ripped after ~ 6 hrs.

So did you ever check the voltage, first with no load, then under a load?

I think you need to throughly clean your battery cables and make sure they are tight. Also throw a volt meter on the battery and get a reading before you try to start it and then DURING trying to start it.

Sounds like a seat safety switch went bad.

Put a good battery jumper on it from a known good non-running vehicle and crank it. If it fires right up.......well, there's yer answer.

Is there a suitable tranny filter for my grandson's Z520A other than the $45/ea. from JD? Sure kicks a $100 bill in the behind just for a lousy filter change. Plus, I use 15W50 in my Gravely. What should I use in his 520? And 2 quarts each? Thanks all!

Just guessing, to keep any relays open or closed, nothing below 11v when cranking.

I would start with the simpliest of things, the battery. Throw a volt meter on it and crank it. See what your reading is under load. Clean your battery connections.

Understand the concept. So far, Kohler 7000 shows no strain between idling & mowing. I'm just looking for cleanest cut I can get, maybe a 'lil stripe for good measure.

OK. Just went out & looked. The easily accessible lever which is suppose to engage/release the transaxle IS hoked up to the next linkage, which in turn pivots a 'bolt' that drops straight down into the tranny. And when I say powered, I mean it's as though I've never moved the levers. I am in...

FYI, the mower is powered whether with the transaxles engaged or not engaged. The engage/disengage lever does nothin. ie. won't freewheel

I bought a HD ZT 60 with 105 hrs. First ZT. Read the owners manual. Found the levers which engages the transaxles. Didn't matter if it was pushed in or pulled out, always engaged. And he hadn't replaced the oil and filters either so I drained and refilled/replaced engine oil & trans. oil, hoping...
