Have downloaded the file but still can't open it so must be a problrem my end, I'll have a look as to why I can't open it. Does it explain how to lap etc?

So, the debacle continues! About to remove the valves on my K141 and have noticed there is a large gap already on the valve clearance even before I lap the valves in. There is no adjustment on this motor, so not quite sureof the way forwards. Would I be right in thinking when I lap the valves...

Kohler K141 carburetor L inlet adapter, what are the screw size that hold the L shaper inlet adapter to the carb? I tried 4mm metric but it's not that? The 2 screws are about 3" inch long if that helps. TC

Does anyone have a valve spring compressoe that I could borrow/buy please? This is the type I'd like if there is one available. They are listed on e-bay but all from the states meaning with duty and P&P they are a ridiculous price...

Thanks MM, I've got a couple of thread files from years ago which never got used but niether seem to have the match and each has 8 different sides. I'm wondering and pretty sure I'm right the thread has a slight taper so that it ake a good seal, if it might have a fine pipe thread?

Near to end of rebuilding my Kohler K141 motor, now find I need a new/replacment fuel union to fit to carb as the original seems to have picked up the aluminum thread and I can't clean the thread, does anyone have a spare?

OK I'll take a look. At the moment I have the cowl on top of the spacers then the tank support on top of them

OK, so I know I should have taken a photo when I removed the head, but I didn't, DOH! Can't for the life of me rememeber where the spacers go, tried to find a schematic but there doesn't appear to be one antwhere in the ether, can anyone help please? TC

yep, they seem a reasonable price and will fit electronic ignition at the same time.

Ah, well that looks like the mag is no good then

Ive used a multimeter to check the mag which gave me a reading of 4.85K but no idea if this is way below spec or is ok. Want to check before I rebuild.

Just inherited 2 Kohler K141 motors and hoping to get both running. The guy that let me have them stated there was no spark on the one I am currently playing with. I've removed the flywheel and see it has the later mageneto fitted and wonder if it is still working. How do I test the mageneto? TC

Wow thanks bertsmobile, I have one gasket and have atteched a photo, also attached 2 photos showing front, (filter side), and rear engine side, any help is reall appreciated as I cannot find any gaskets for sale anywhere.

Hi Guys, I have a GV100 motor and needed to remove the carb and like a fool didn't keep a record on how the gaskets are fitted. Does anyhave photos/insstructions on re fitting the gaskets that include the metal one that I seem to have gorgotten about. The other question is does anyone have a set...
